Ridgewing Dragons live just below the snow level on the upper slopes of mountains. They are a friendly, playful breed and enjoy dancing in wind currents near their homes or plummeting down into valleys from great heights. Their wings, by far their most striking feature, grow in fin-like ridges along their backs. While their bodies lack markings to blend better with their surroundings, a ridgewing’s wings have bright markings in the colors of the flowers that grow in their mountain habitat. Occasionally different-colored individuals can be found, but they are rare because their striking coloring offers little protection.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Choufleur is a spirited beast, not one to take orders or instruction of any kind, from any creature. She spends most days spinning about in the air, performing feats of aerial acrobatics that put even the most graceful of her Khalasaar (tribe) to shame. She is young for one so talented, and her youth is superseded only by her beauty. Man and beast alike find themselves entranced in the graceful curvature of her wings and body as she twirls through the air. It is for this reason that she was so sought-after as a mate. Every lone male in the Khalasaar wanted her, and attempted to court her, much to Fleur's chagrin. The Ridgewing wanted no drake to hold her back, no mate. Despite this, however, her affections soon found a home in the Flamingo Wyvern, Mignardise Fleurfond. The two had played together as hatchlings, and danced together a near-mature adults. Now mated, they are nigh inseparable---hence Mignardise's surname---and are a case study in dragon bonding.
