Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has large frills on its head.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Despite being the middle child of Bayah's children that remained in this clan, Kruzules is very protective of his older sister and fellow frozen hatchling, Malyah.  He finds her oddly attracted to her younger half-brother, Myloz II.  Kruzules does not agree with the way that Myloz II treats her and Malyah seems not to understand or seems not to mind; he has not figured which.  Yet, he is determined to protect Malyah from any harm that Myloz II and any of his adult friends wish to place on Malyah.  He is also protective of his younger sister, Yazbaii.  She, though, doesn't really need to be protected and actually, she attempts to make Kruzules come out of his shy shell more often.
