Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

K'ren and T'krenth Backlash, though not sister and brother, are distantly related. The two Black dragons are complete warriors, and can be found practicing fighting in the mountains. K'ren, the female of the two, is the more aggressive one. Her senses are also the sharpest, preventing any dragon from sneaking up on her. Before coming to the Kradiocan Clan and meeting up with T'krenth, K'ren was the leader of a tribe raged by constant war. One day, the tribe was shattered in an ambush, and in desperation, K'ren fled in a random direction. By chance, it was the direction of the Kradiocan valley. Even though she took the oath of peace, K'ren cannot shake off her past life, and the fact that she still is unable to fly because her left wing was torn in a battle keeps it so that she cannot rest.
