Gilded Bloodscale Dragons often spend hours investigating every minute detail of caves, making sure their living spaces are arranged exactly how they like. They crave intellectual stimulation and get bored easily. As such, these dragons prefer to lure in their prey using their sharp minds rather than brute strength, often engaging in battles of wits between their two heads to determine how best to proceed. Seen as eccentric by other dragons, they are often shunned by all but their own kind.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.

This is Hughy; he lives with a Two-headed dragon called Chetireye, whose fire head loathes him. Yet, if anyone could see how Chetireye's ice head treats him, the Nexus dragon's formidable reputation would be tainted by the fact they he may have a trophy roommate. Hughy often busies himself by clearing out the lair's extensive, maze-like cave network of vermin and then putting prisoners inside to watch them try to escape. On occasion, he makes a habit of kidnapping royalty and seeing if they can best him in a game of strategy, luck, or just plain old riddles. Many survivors have only won due to a dice roll and the fact that Hughy is a fair sport and report that his laugh sounds like an excited boar.

He makes a game out of terrorising human settlements and the habitats of other dragons, and while Chetireye is busy eating, icing, or setting everything on fire, Hughy is busy torturing them using mind tricks, physiological terrors, and kidnapping them to wage a battle of wits.
