Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It glows brightly, and seems to prefer warm areas.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Stormy's keeper exhausted her store of names, but he rejected every single one. His silly keeper simply couldn't understand what he wanted to be called. Just when both of them were just short of being frustrated enough to physically harm each other, a man in a bow tie showed up and told Stormy's keeper that the hatchling preferred to be called, "Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All." The man responded to the keeper's skeptical look with, "I speak hatchling. He also says that he is quite big enough now to eat SHEEP instead of bugs and rodents, thank you." Stormy and his keeper get along just fine now that those technical difficulties have been ironed out...and all thanks to the mysterious man in the bow tie.
