Kingcrownes are a mysterious and proud species, possessing some of the most beautiful and reflective scales of all dragons. Despite this, what is sought after most is not their scales, but the silk-like hairs that grow along their head, neck, and elbows. The hairs themselves have a magical shine, and are thought to have powerful healing properties when used in potions. The hairs of a Kingcrowne are even believed to bring good fortune to those who possess them. Though it is obvious that these dragons possess magical abilities, it is still not entirely clear what they are fully capable of. Most of a Kingcrowne’s time is spent grooming itself, keeping its scales and fur in top condition.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ancient, foreboding, and incredibly vain, Aegreian is generally left alone. Those who aren't terrified by her overwhelming presence and habit of sharpening her claws with an expression likened to that of a crazed killer -- it is a very short list -- are irritated to death by her constant preening and self-promotion. Aegreian is actually quite happy by herself but going years without seeing another soul does have its disadvantages. It's so much more satisfying to hear adulations coming from someone else's mind rather than her own.

The one dragon who actually spends any amount of time around her is Fenpavo, who is all too glad for any sort of distraction from his constant internal arguments, even if it's Aegreian's vapid chatter about herself. She will never admit it but she does care deeply for the poor, insane Lumina. She has a reputation to uphold, after all, and can't have them thinking she actually cares about someone other than herself.
