Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This mysterious dragoness has always acted with poise and decorum as befits a dragon of her rarity. Always polite and friendly, she is respected by the majority of her cavemates. Recently, however, it is rumored that she has been dabbling her claws in all sorts of unspeakable magics, from necromancy to vampirism, and nearly everything in between. It is said that if one delved into her lineage, one would discover many ties to shadowy characters, and she has even taken on a mischievous Cavern Lurker as a consort, of sorts. Her closest friend, Argentumflight, when he isn't distracted by one of his 'projects', will vehemently deny such rumors when he hears them and scold whomever said them for 'spreading rubbish and nonsense!'
