Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don’t communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Sunrise dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Solitos is pretty laid back and loves to sunbathe. He tends to be pretty lazy except when he's hunting. He will only hunt in the morning and he prefers to hunt together with one of the other dragons he shares his territory with. If he becomes hungry later, he will sometimes ask DarknessHunter if he can share a bit of his food with him. He doesn't like it when somebody makes fun of him just because he's kinda pink so watch out for his temper! Since he's a Sunrise dragon, "tos" was added to the word "Sol" which means "Sun" in Spanish.
