Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

For generations, Erin of the Ancient Rock has guarded the same cave entrance.  Why is unknown, since there are no weyrs nearby that the cave might connect to and no sign that anyone else lives there, but Erin is quick to drive off anyone who tries to get past her.  On the rare occasions when she leaves to hunt, she blocks the entrance so thoroughly with rocks that even a team of green dragons wouldn't be able to clear it.  Some say she guards the entrance to Yearhome and keeps the Year's Children safe from harm.  Others say she guards treasures more glorious than could ever be imagined.  More practical dragons say she guards only dusty, empty tunnels, the remnants of a long-vanished weyr.  Whatever her secret is, she'll take it to her grave. Many have tried to learn her story, but even Kyti Fallingleaf, who managed to get interviews with all eight of the Year's Children, has failed to extract more than monosyllabic answers.
