Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This dragon plays with lightning magic so often that she almost always has a spark dancing over her head. It seems she will be one of the most focused magic users in her clan when she matures. She seems to neglect herself a bit, physically, but her attacks are primarily magical anyway. She's very aggressive, even for a black dragon, and often wins play-fights against other hatchlings.
