Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Chernobog was adopted into the Warriors Clan when he was young, and is like a brother to Dubhthach. Just like Dubhthach, Chernobog is the muscled variant of the ordinary Black dragon, and so the two were raised to become guards of the clan. Together with Dubhthach and his equally large son Koukakala, the three are like a moving wall of muscle, teeth and claws that any rival would be foolish to try and infiltrate.

Chernobog has a guilty secret however, and knows that if it ever came out, his bond with Dubhthach will be broken forever. He secretly loves Mujahida, Dubhthach's mate. Mujahida will come to him repeatedly in secret, asking for company, and Chernobog simply cannot help himself. He has had one hatchling with her already that was left in the care of wild dragons in the hope that the truth would never be revealed. Hoping to keep away from Mujahida, Chernobog concentrates on his duties and whenever he feels the "need" he will go off to breed elsewhere.
