Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

eTail has a little bit of lightning magic, leading some to believe that his biological parents aren't the unremarkable dorsal couple who raised him. His friends like to play it up, but in reality all he can do is send small arcs of electricity running the length of his tail. It is barely enough to make someone jump if zapped. He hates it when he accidentally zaps someone while wagging at a good joke.

He always winces in embarrassment when he hears his friends recite this exaggerated rhyme:

"eTail makes lightning when he wags his tail

A trick he has found that never will fail

Unusual for a dorsal's rear,

And he cannot do it with his front, you hear!

.

His electric tail lights up the night,

As he shakes it about with all his might.

Some think he has a thunder's blood,

Though he is purebred, a purple dud."
