Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Quite a ways up the looming Mount Hagsip, a weary traveler will find a most disturbing scene up on the high crags on the mountainside. What appears to be hundreds of massive statues of dragons stand steadfast on the mountain, blankly gazing down at the traveler. One exceptionally massive one stands in the front with a vicious face and red glowing eyes. What the traveler does not know is that these are actually Nocturne dragons, and he has wandered into their lair.
The dragon that stands readily at the front is the Nocturne Lair Guardian, a member of the Guardian Clan, and she will stop at nothing to unnerve passerby and protect her large clan from being bothered. At night, this dragon comes to life and leads her clan in a massive attack on any living thing in their territory, perhaps not to kill but to simply frighten off. Very little variety of dragon types are allowed to reside in their lair according to this very disciplined dragon's orders.
