White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The White Minstrel is an innocent and pure dragon descending from a long line of healers, magic-users or guardians. She has a soothing impact on people and other dragons. Every evening, when night descends upon the cave, the hatchlings gather around her to hear the ancient song she is singing—a song about former times, times when dragons protected the world and the human race from evil. Her blue eyes are mysterious, and Faeryl is not sure if her soul is really as young as her physical form.

The Minstrel's partner is the cruel black dragon Arrphathoss. Although there seems to be no reason for a couple that different to mate, the two dragons seem to constantly be with each other. Their owner believes them to share a mutual secret.
