Electric Dragons wield electricity with great prowess. Bright sparks race across these dragons’ bodies in a dazzling dance of light, complemented by the blindingly radiant sparks on their tails. Using their bellies and manes as stores for this electrical energy, Electric Dragons wield crackling magic, stunning and electrocuting their prey with a whip of their tail. During mating season it is typically those with the most brilliant sparks—an indicator of strength and hunting ability—that are drawn to each other.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lightlife is the first to wake and the last to sleep. Always a prankster and rarely serious his presence in the room is always announced by the constant crackle of the sparks that dance across his hide. As a hatchling, it wasn't uncommon for him to touch the spark on the tip of his tail to other youngsters, grinning a mouth of sharp needle teeth when they would hiss at the sudden shock. As he grew older, he gained better control of both timing and voltage and those that live in the communal cave have grown used to his antics. These days he keeps his shocks mostly to himself but that's still his favorite coming of age present for any dragon. He's also one of the communal cave's best hunters, his precise strikes dropping prey with relatively no damage, allowing him to bring back more meat than those who might be using fang and talon. He is also often found working in concert with the gray dragons to secure their home from dangers, adding his lightning to their storms.
