Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ghostriders In The Sky is ambitious and single-minded in the pursuit of his one life goal: being the ancestor to a long, unbroken lineage of dragons who were not influenced by Pinks and mate with untamed dragons born in the cave. Twelve moons after the birth of his son, the lineage was already twenty generations long and going strong, so even though not all his descendants are as enthusiastic about his vision as he is, he is very happy with the progress, which he monitors closely. But even the less eager ones have to admit that, maybe without meaning to, he started something beautiful: a family of all kinds of breeds, from all over Valkemare, united by a single goal, who always have each others backs.
