Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Uptown Girl grew up totally sheltered and protected from anything that might have disturbed his peace of mind. He never learned about the gruesome task of hunting and killing, with his parents being paid for their art in already completely prepared meat. He was never taught about any of the specifics of mating and egg-production, only vaguely associating it with the so-called "adult conspiracy". In fact he was never even aware that he had a girl's name and that most dragons would ridicule him for that.

To this day, Uptown Girl stays blissfully oblivious to the darker sides of the world and lives in his own perfect little bubble.
