Desipis Dragons are an extremely dangerous breed, synonymous with the paths of desolation they leave in their wakes. These gargantuan beasts are infamous for their innate ability to control and manipulate the minds of others, which they use to pulverize the sanities of their foes and forge false memories. This power is especially effective on the foolish, and only the strongest-willed individuals have been known to resist a Desipis’s cunning. Most who anger Desipises do not live to tell the tale. Desipis Dragons are especially feared for their uncanny power of absorbing the magic of others with the fire they breathe and converting it into the bright reserves of crystallized mana that decorate their bodies.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Dingleball believes she is a very friendly dragon. She wears a Santa hat and has her half-dozen mind-slave "elves" (really, ordinary humans in silly costumes) which she has make brightly-coloured spherical glass baubles, somewhat resembling her own mana spheres. Dingleball hangs these baubles (named after herself) from trees, and so long as there are others around and they admire the baubles, she is happy. She doesn't like it if people try to move her baubles, since she is proud of her ability as a tree decorator, and will not take such an insult lightly. Those who complain that her trinkets are useless, annoying, or in the way are put on her 'naughty list' and turned into lumps of coal; and any who goes so far as to break one, even accidentally...

Well, suffice to say there are worse things than being turned into lumps of coal by an irate desipis. That is why those near Dingleball pretend to stay cheery, enjoy her decorations, and try very, very hard not to break any of them.
