Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This rather long-named dragon prefers to go by "Tally", a sweet-sounding nickname that fails to capture her paranoid and nearly split personality. On one hand she presents herself as a coldly satirical intellectual. On the other, she's a giggling yes-dragon who instantly reacts if anyone dares call her the "airhead" she is. Tally is intensely conscious of any slights to her mental ability, defending against perceived insults with furious and usually physical attacks. Since she is a typical density for a gold- that is, heavy enough to bowl any other breed over- no one wishes to be on the receiving end of her anger. Kad's clan is an accepting place for "insane" dragons, but even they generally avoid the unpredictable Tally. She can only take out her anger on the mentally damaged C'var as an easy target.
