Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Made of Win struts his way through life, generally making a fool—but a gorgeously shiny fool—of himself everywhere he goes. Although most dragons of Kad's clan love to hate him, he obliviously considers himself the most popular of all dragonkind. Some of his obvious confidence and uproarious laughter rub off on the females of the clan; he maintains a harem of adoring females all eager to hear the latest outrageous story he thinks up. He is utterly unaware a few of their (previous) mates are working up a plan to humiliate him. It does not matter, after all—there are no rules, no down days, and no possible dangers when one is just Made of Win.
