Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It glows brightly, and seems to prefer warm areas.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Little Trotsky, named for the great, great grandparents he adores, is fascinated with dung beetles, and won't stay off the dung heap in his endless pursuit of the beetles.  While brownies are always a good temporary distraction, Little Trotsky has his fill, then heads straight back out to the hunt.  His parents, teachers and the Healers just make certain he gets as many baths as possible, but he will not give up this strange habit. No one is sure what he does with the beetles, but something seems to have stunted his growth, and the brownies certainly don't do that!
