Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species. However, this isn’t true. Rather, they burrow underground and get nutrients from their vines. These vines are sometimes referred to as Dragon Grass. These dragons are very violent, and will use their vines to capture, kill, and eat anything that moves, as well as nearby plants. Luckily, their range is limited and they cannot use magic. Dark green dragons tend to be easy to spot since they usually kill all plants around them and thus are usually surrounded by a large clearing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This Vine Dragon is much like the rest of his species; short tempered and hostile. The fact that he travels in a small group of two other dragons going on 'adventures' stuns most dragons.

BassRanger is never buried underground and is always basking in the sun. Since he doesn't take nutrition from the ground, the Vine Dragon has a gaunt appearance, his body wasting away. This doesn't seem to affect his skills and BassRanger can move quickly for a short time. He uses toothed vines for ranged attacks and then leaps in the fray with claws and teeth.

His relations with the other two dragons are not the best. The Moonstone is a total idiot to BassRanger and the Vine is always getting into arguments with him. The White is deemed beneath him, since they rarely see eye to eye. Since all three males are just travelers, none of them can impress the females of their species. This means that the Vine is always hooking up with random females in small towns, which both of his companions hate.
