Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Kate was left for dead in a forest after being attacked by her former birth group when she suggested that males were of equal stature. Bleeding heavily, and certain that she would not survive, she had given up hope and surrendered to the darkness. When she woke she was being cared for by a kindly male. He seemed frightened as he stepped from the shadows, and she realized he believed she would attack him. With a pained smile, she reassuringly nuzzled him as thanks.

He had stayed close after that, becoming her bodyguard to ensure she was never attacked again, and at night when she slept, he looked over her scarred scales with sadness that she had suffered.

Their friendship blossomed to romance and their nest was built when she laid her first egg. Neji was thrilled and over years, they had many children.

When their 25th hatchling was stolen, she knew Neji suffered terribly with grief, and became his carer, revealing her love and dedication.
