Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Karyan loves the sun, everything about it makes her want to play in it for hours. Karyan is the most relaxed of the dragons in her group. She enjoys taking naps in the warm places of the camp and finds the natural hot spots a good place to play with the little hatchlings. She is one of the smartest dragons in camp and because of that the other dragons come to her seeking answers for some of their minor problems, since she doesn't appreciate too much solicitation she sends some of the more difficult questions to Glanffrwd, the camps "wise man". Karyan never takes things too seriously and is always optimistic about what will happen next in her life. She is very excited to see how the future generations will play a part in her life and she never stops to think about the negative things that could come of them.
