Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As an egg, Winters Thunder was found near the bottom of a mountain. No one knows how he got there, but some think that he was left there by mountain dwelling dragons. However he came to be there, he was found by a human, who raised him and introduced him to her clan. Around the same time another sparkling blue hatchling was being cared for by his owner, Sapphires Breeze, and the two were said to one day be a pair. But the two never thought of each other like that, it was as if they were siblings, and unless you happen to ask you would think just that.

Winters Thunder is a proud dragon, but with that he knows not to brag to much, or else the other dragons might stop listening to him. He is also very kind and loyal, especially to his mate, Lillys Pad, and thinks himself to be the luckiest dragon in the world to be with her.
