Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shen is the self-appointed guardian of the longest river running through the clan's lands. Since the river runs from the mountains in the South all the way through the great lakes up till it meets the sea in the northwest, this is a massive challenge and Shen could never master it alone. Working closely with the members of the clan living in or close to the great river, he keeps the area safe for the humans using it as a way of transport as well as for all dragons.
