Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Many dragons in the clan have a problem with Comma Splice. He often interrupts others by shrieking during some important interval in telepathic conversations. This can make the conversation confusing, as dragons will have to stop and pause to regain their train of thought and then remember what the heck they were talking about in the first place. Comma Splice doesn't mean to be rude to others. Frequently, he just doesn't realize that he is interrupting and is usually just searching for attention for something he thinks is important. His flair for the dramatic can overwhelm other dragons, but as he was never really taught proper manners when he was young, other dragons cannot really blame him. They try to educate Comma Splice rather than getting angry or shunning him. However, education progresses slowly; Comma Splice is a stubborn dragon with ingrained habits that are simply hard to break.
