And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Elfy was a little Yulebuck with a big heart. Whenever Elfy entered a room, it immediately brightened up. While he was growing up, he was always getting very sick. He helped a lot of people a lot, but in his efforts, his immune system began to fail and Warrior had to hide him and nurse him back to health. Even while he was sick, Elfy still went out of his way to help those who needed him, whether it was to mend a leaking roof, or provide support for those who were grieving, or even just bringing joy to others by his presence and festive coat. He was so big on helping people that he begged Warrior to make him stop aging—and therefore, stop him from getting sick—so he could always be there whenever someone was in need of him. Because of his faithful presence and his ability to love others, he was given the fond name of "Little Elfy".
