Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Z'lir Hravi's name can roughly be translated into "Sun's Song, the Wild One." He is a playful, restless dragon who enjoys maintaining his aura of mystique. The reputation of Sunsong Amphipteres as a symbol of luck was actually originated from an accident.

Z'lir was running late for a Dragon Concert held by his friends, the Howler Dragons, and he was forced to take a shortcut that was more exposed. As he swooped above the forests, he crossed a clearing where a human's Tribal wedding was being held. Upon glimpsing Z'Lir's golden and purple scales flash above the sky, the shaman holding the ceremony declared it a good omen. And thus, the legend of Sunsong Amphipteres being symbols of good luck was born.

Truth to be said, Z'lir quite enjoys fueling the superstitions of humans. He has made special care to let himself be exposed now and then to keep the rumours flowing.

Z'lir is the first of his line and his descendants take the prefix name of Z'lir as a mark of their lineage.
