Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ekaira is a trickster, but a relatively benign one.  She's playful, but not especially harmful, having been on the receiving end of cruelty too often to have much taste for it herself.  Ekaira will tease, yes, and can certainly defend herself if attacked, but she is by no means malicious.  She's slow to trust, thanks to past events that she refuses to talk about, but that left her with deep physical, mental, and emotional scars, and always remains something of an outsider even in familiar situations.  Once Ekaira warms up to someone, she'll spin elaborate tales for their enjoyment (augmented by elaborate illusions), but a wise listener will take everything she says with a grain of salt.  Ekaira lies as it suits her (though rarely about anything of vital importance), but is nonetheless generally trustworthy.
