Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

His parents decided to keep him. Viskus was the first of the two eggs laid, and thus was the only one which stayed. His egg looked dark, dark as sin. Upon hatching, Viskus blended in so well with the shadows, that only his piercing emerald hued eyes were an indication of his whereabouts. Both parents worried if their son the new evil of the cave. Though once matured and his wings set in, little Viskus proved to be mild tempered. The day he became an adult, was also the day an invader attempted to take over the cave. Viskus instantly grew hostile, his fierce attack didn't stop until the blood of the other dragon had stained his claws and left a permanent mark on the floor of the cave. In his blind rage, Viskus had viciously killed another dragon, and left his claws crimson, and the cave floor a warning to other invaders that they will have no mercy.
