Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Hor-djer, Defender Of Horus, is the third Pygmaoh of the first dynasty of Ecave. He is the son of Hor-Aha and Khenthap and allegedly the great grandson of King Scorpion II. Like other Pygmaohs, Hor-djer has an unhealthy interest in what he calls the afterlife and already reserved a neat space in the necropolis of Umm el-Cave'ab. It is probably big enough to store burial objects and retainers—most of them volunteers.
