Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. You find it odd that the hatchling doesn’t move at all during the day, but at night its colors change and it is full of energy.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Daimalyn is a bit clumsy, stumbling over her feet and tail. Despite this, she tries to imitate her mother's fluid movements when flying together with her parents, but she tends to fail often and has to be caught by her father when she loses control. When not in the air, she enjoys playing with her father and his friends, prancing around their feet and sliding down their tails.
