Hellhorse Dragons are foul-tempered, spirited creatures with tempestuous and violent dispositions. Torrents of scorching flames erupt from their bodies and can easily set their surroundings ablaze. Highly aggressive and territorial toward other dragon species, Hellhorses will tolerate others as long as they believe the association to be beneficial. Such alliances are tenuous in nature and frequently short-lived, as the slightest disagreement can easily escalate into a full-out brawl.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Maverlynne has always been feisty, always having the last word in an argument and the first to start a fight. The other hatchlings of her clan hated her, but she bullied them into making her their leader. Her sadistic cruelty and fiery disposition led to her exile as soon as she was old enough to survive on her own. This would have suited her just fine- it was hard being the only Hellhorse in her clan- if she weren't so afraid of being alone. With no one else around her, she became acutely aware of every sound, every flicker of movement, every strange scent. She became terrified that something was tracking her every move, waiting patiently for her to fall into their trap. After months of running from her own paranoia, Maverlynne met a Hellfire who, scorned for not being born a hybrid, was as alone in the world as she. The two now share a cave together, even though each only just tolerates the other. But having someone familiar nearby makes things that go bump in the night not so scary.
