Swallowtail Dragons are graceful and quick flyers, much like their namesake bird. They are capable of precise aerial acrobatics, and can reach very high altitudes. Because of this, humans observing these dragons are often astonished at how large they are when confronted up close. A Swallowtail’s diet consists of insects and small mammals plentiful in temperate forests. These dragons are also made remarkable by their paper-thin wing membranes, which allow light to pass through, creating an astonishing effect on starry nights.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Jayssel is a very active dragon, and he spends most of his time flying. He loves the feeling of wind racing through his wings with the adrenaline racing through his blood. He loops, twists, spirals, corkscrews, and dives, and on some days he almost forgets to eat! One day while the sun began to set, Jayssel was was zigzagging back and forth in an intricate dance when he spotted another dragon, performing her own series of twirls and flips. He paused to watch, and recognized some of his moves reflected in her very own style. She was a Sunset dragon, and she was quick and agile. Jayssel soared closer to her, and began matching her move-for-move. They flew parallel, trying to outdo each other. Their dance was both elegant and fierce, like an aerial tango. Finially, when the sun was gone and the moon was at its peak, they glided down to the beach and began to speak. The female introduced herself as Sasir, and said that she would love to meet Jayssel again. They are happy mates to this day.
