Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Slow Silver and The Silver Light grew up together and are practically brothers. There is only one thing they fight over: The Silversword. The Silversword is the only silver female in Elenwen's cave and both Slow Silver and The Silver Light love her. They have had many a competition to see who gets her heart but all of them end in a draw. They have also tried to get her to chose one of them by singing her songs and bringing her gifts. Slow Silver is a smith of sorts and again and again he forges her gifts. He brings them to The Silversword but she will turn them down with a smile so he returns to his forge and goes to try and make her another gift. Slow Silver was given to Elenwen as a gift from an aged Silver Dragon that could no long care for the egg. Slow Silver is an excellent smith but he suffers from laziness; hence his name. Slow Silver will continue his quest for The Silversword's heart and who knows maybe one day he will prevail or turn his eye to anther she dragon.
