Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Emerald Glory is an old dragon, possibly older than Ashke'hai Keep itself. He has called the deep caverns far beneath the mountains his home for as long as anyone can remember. Some say it was he who fashioned the tunnels and caverns of Ashke'hai with his own claws using the powerful earth magic at his command. The old and wise of the Keep tell tales to the young children of how the very rock around them breathes with his breath and the heart of the mountains beats with his rhythm. When he is angry the earth shakes and the wrath of Mount Tal'shiean Darr spews forth super-heated magma high into the Overland skies several miles south. They are but legends as few have seen Emerald Glory in years, but he lives still and amuses himself listening to the whispers of his infamy. Only he knows the truth.
