Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Apegilly Sapphire Jewel is, as her long, elegant name suggests, from a very distinguished family, holding bloodlines with very high regard. Her maternally-centric family line is tidy and visually pleasing, with wild blood mixed in each generation, ensuring an incest-free line of only the most beautiful pair of breeds. She has traced her foremothers back to the sole blue Shimmerscale in existence, the very one who is famous for hatching with a true name that matches a real human word. Apegilly is an aesthetic favourite of the Specialist, the human going so far as to assign her a special mate named for the female moonstone's ancestors. However, no dragon can discern a reason for this doting that fits the woman's normal behaviour beyond some experiment dealing with nobility. Apegilly refuses to speak with any dragons save her own kin, so not much is known of her, though she is often spotted gliding through the sky with her mate and hatchling on clear nights.
