Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This poor dragon still bears the scars of a terrible humiliation. When he was but a mere egg, he was taken from the cave by a little girl. Not knowing it was a dragon egg, she drew a comical, mustached face on its surface with red paint. She festooned it with flowers, ribbons and lacy bows, gave it a bowl of water to "drink" out of and a bed of finest pillow dragon fluff, and even dubbed it "Rockypoo". What's worse, she thought the rock was a girl like her.

When the egg became a hideous stone hatchling, the girl turned him away in disgust, sending him into the forest to die. He was found by a dragontender named Meerkat, who was delighted to take care of another dragon. He's tried to forget his traumatizing egghood experience, but the whole pet rock thing still bugs him.
