Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rai-hime, as her title suggests, considers herself a princess of the skies; like Kaze, her skywing acquaintance, she flies nearly 24-7, returning to the ground only to hunt, rest or warn intruders off her personal mountain. As is typical of gray dragons, Rai has a fiery temper matched only by the vicious storms she is capable of calling up anytime she wishes to, leading the others to call her 'The Lady of Storms'. Rai shares an interesting relationship with Shindou: while the two are very close and would defend each other to the death, they also tend to squabble often over trivial matters, their tempers and pride causing them to sulk for days before one party finally gives in. Though how she'd ever come to mate with him, Rai has no idea... maybe it had something to do with how her heart reacted to the way his jade eyes lit up every time the black dragon talked about Go...
