Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

With mournful keens, he gazes up at the sky longingly, wishing that he could one day be deemed worthy of the companionship of the other dragons. Yet he is alone, and the other dragons have judged him a reject of nature, so he spends his days near Emio'aris's mysterious cave, two dragons in an unlikely forged alliance out of isolation.

And why the other dragons have rejected him: His wings are crippled, bent into a shape that makes it impossible for him to ever fly, a byproduct of sickness while he was still unhatched. His skin is an unearthly pale color, the result of a handful of near-impossible mutations in his genes. The other dragons see his red eyes, translucent scales, and mangled wings, and silently look away, refusing to accept him for what he is.

And he lives with that, knowing it could be much, much worse.
