Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This female, often called Hunter, is the babysitter of the younger Black Dragon hatchlings. She, the least of her "sisters", was given the role against her will. The domination of the other Black Dragons has forced her to keep this job—the job that she has titled "guardian" instead of "babysitter". In spite of her restlessness and the fact that she did not want a job as a babysitter—or as a guardian, for that matter—she has accepted her role and does a great job with the youngsters. She is fun for the littler ones, and has enough skill, plus some, to teach them and train them in hunting to the best of standards.
