Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys sunning itself in the morning light.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Koiit hates pessimistic dragons, the downers in life.  He is a very happy dragon and can't get enough of the life he lives. He is a scholar and very imaginative, his goal in life is to figure out everything there is to know about the world and teach other, younger dragons the principles that he lives by one day. Koiit is apprenticed to Talaeah and is a good student by her. She has taught Koiit everything he knows and when she steps down from her teaching post he will choose an apprentice and begin teaching them. So the cycle continues, but he vows that he will learn more than Talaeah teaches him. That way he will stay on in the minds of dragons after he leaves his post to enjoy relaxing.
