Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s extremely curious and seems to enjoy exploring the area around it.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Flutterfoot is one of Phoenix's dragons. She was frozen because she always claimed that when she grew up, she was going to be prettier than Vyra, Phoenix's other mature purple dragon who wants to be the prettiest. Vyra actually made her mate, Fyrestar (who is Phoenix's Magi dragon and the only dragon in the cave that can cast freezing spells) freeze Flutterfoot. Fyrestar couldn't very well say no, so he did as she said. Now Flutterfoot spends her days jumping off logs and rocks and flapping her wings wildly, in hopes that she can learn to fly. But so far she hasn't succeeded, perhaps because her wings are a bit small for her size.
