Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Isendae Anamatus is an albino dragon. He is almost completely white and has no color whatsoever in his skin. Due to this, he prefers the night, though he is still quite active during the day. He likes high altitudes and he is sometimes found exploring the mountains and caves at the center of his clan's territory. Isendae Anamatus is his owner's eldest dragon, and he is one of his clan's leaders. Due to his experience and knowledge, he can often be found in his cave, consulting with other dragons and deciding on his clan's actions. Although his voice is screechy and many visiting dragons from other clans perceive him as strange and unusual, he is loved by his fellow clanmates and he is a good leader, able to direct and maintain order in his clan even in the most harrowing and difficult situations.
