This is a baby chick, not a dragon. So what was it doing in the dragons’ cave?

Everybody knows sailors are very superstitious people, and Egyptian sailors are the most superstitious of them all. Lately, the crews of Egyptian merchant vessel claim to have been attacked by a giant sea serpent in disguise of a small chick. The chick is supposed to appear as if out of nowhere and violently attack and sink any ship it spots. No sailor surviving an attack dared to return to the sea, silly as it may seem.

Of course, these stories are nothing but fairy tales... or are they. Recently, ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs were discovered, depicting a chick serpent—ZvVVe or "Serpentpatra, the Great Serpent".
