Rosebud Dragons are a fun and social breed found most often in the spring. The petal-like feathers that grow on their sides spread their sweet and floral scent. Although they have poor eyesight, they have ribbon-like extensions that extend their olfactory abilities to help create a map of the area around them. When flying, Rosebud dragons tend to hover, using their wings to fan their scent throughout the air. A widespread breed, they go to great effort to visit as many flowery fields as possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When Ztoko moved to Juliett Town she was quite consternated by how any key could open any lock, but would break after one use. She found a workaround for her own weyr by cursing her front door to act like a wall, and then circumventing her own curse with a second spell she calls "initiate cutscene". The door still acted like a door from the inside, so leaving was easy. One day, after a really big Valentine's party, she was so tired coming home she miscast her spell, and instead of ending up inside as usual, she found herself in an infinite black void of nothingness. Eventually, by wandering around for an indeterminate length of time, she discovered a region known as the Submachines, which long-time residents tell her was created by a confluence of chronos and umbra mana. Ztoko wants to get home, but because of how time is locally distorted, her "load" spell isn't working as she wants it to. She has allied herself with the pink dragon Mur and is helping with his plans to escape.
