Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Bruce Wayne shares the duty of patrolling the borders of the clan's land with Serena Kyle. After losing his parents in a Hellfire Wyvern attack as a very young hatchling Bruce takes his duties very serious and will do anything to protect the clan from similar attacks, even going as far as neglecting his own health and safety. Serena on the other hand seems to see their duty as nothing more than a thrilling opportunity to roam the night and have fun.

The dark Black dragoness has managed to seduce Bruce away from his duties during mating season on more than one occasion and the two even have a daughter. But Bruce hates himself when he fails in his duty, letting himself get distracted, so he tries to avoid Serena. If they accidentally meet each other outside mating time, it usually ends with a fight.
