Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Being one of the rare dragons to guard an orb of balance, Shimmering Diamond Oracle, also known as Shimmer, is very seclusive and nomadic with Crystal Stone Oracle. She guards the Crystal Ice Orb, which can freeze and turn any living thing into a slave of the possessor of the Orb. Shimmer has a secret in her bloodline, and shares Ancestor blood with Crystal Stone. The other dragons doubt the rumor though. Shimmer teaches the hatchlings about the Oracles and how they can come in any form, and the disease that threatens them all. She seeks refuge with the owner of the cave, who also has secrets she shares with this dragon.
