Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Where ever this "Maker of Thick Fog" goes such weather follows. He is rarely glimpsed, even by other dragons, as the fog he draws around him hides his body well. Rather shy and reclusive by nature he tends to avoid places where others are. Due to the nature of fog he often remains on the ground, this makes encounters with humans much more frequent. Often when he ventures close to a town they get unseasonable mists. Those sent to investigate this are rarely seen again. Only weapons and charred armor are found as signs that a fight had occurred. This gave rise to speculation and folk lore about demons that could become invisible, and lurked in mists and shadows waiting to suck souls.
